Norman Island, home of Pirates Bight Bar, Restaurant, and Gift Shop, is perhaps most famous for being the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, Treasure Island. However, Norman Island also has a rich documented history of acting as a hiding spot for Pirate booty. Norman Island is an island located at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands archipelago.

Peter Island is the largest private island in the BVI

and the fifth largest of the 60 islands, quays, and

exposed reefs that comprise the BVI.

The island is predominately undeveloped but

contains hiking and biking trails on which to

to Peter Island. The beaches face the Atlantic
